About
A Canadian of Indian origin, Rohini Sunderam is a semi-retired advertising copywriter.
She has written ad copy for films, radio, and print, in India, Bahrain and Canada; including two books as commissioned assignments.
Her articles have appeared in: The Statesman, Calcutta, India; The Globe & Mail, Canada and The Halifax Chronicle Herald, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Other writing credits include: Desert Flower under the penname Zohra Saeed, re-released by Ex-L-Ence Publishing; she was a contributor to My Beautiful Bahrain (2012/ Miracle Publishing, Bahrain) and More of My Beautiful Bahrain (Published by Robin Barratt Publishing 2014). Her poem Birth Pangs was selected for publication in the international competition Poetry Rivals 2012 (Remus House, UK). She has participated in The Colours of Life - Bahrain's annual poetry festival: 2012 & 2013.
She edits and manages a blog 'Home The Clock Struck One' for her brother who had a stroke a few years ago and a blog of personal writing and interests:
